Dance
start . . .
I love watching my younger girls dance around the house. They have taken some ballet and love to be little princesses dancing to music. They make-up their own little interpretations, put on shows, pretend to be professionals, and then, just forget their “playing” and get lost in the dance. They love to do it with praise music. They are dancing for Jesus.
This past Sunday in church we sang, Chris Rice’s song “Come to Jesus” and one part of the song is:
O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can’t contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!
I just imagine how someday, there will be no hesitations . . . praises will flow so freely, like it does from our children, and we will all dance for Jesus, fully alive! We won’t worry who is watching as we raise our hands, or twirl around.
I am looking forward to that! You?

five minutes of free writing without worrying about getting it right
I’ve had the privilege of praise dancing at church, and in the privacy of my home. Nothing will ever compare to that day when I dance, completely free and full of His love and glory!
My little girls took ballet this past year and it’s so much fun to watch them create their own dances! So creative. Oh to be able to dance without worrying about what other people think. Visiting from five minute Friday
I love that song, and the minute I saw your title, that was what I thought of! 🙂 Yes… dancing for Jesus. The most beautiful dance of all. Glad i stopped here from 5 minute Friday…
Dear Loni,
That was beautiful. I can hardly wait until that day when I’m dancing with the Lord. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
May I not wait until I get to heaven to dance for the Lord.
