o I’ve been thinking about this….even talked to my dad about it a few weeks ago. I am wondering, if we prayed as much for our president, his wife and his girls, as writing negative things, sharing, liking and tagging them on Facebook or Twitter, if hearts would be changed. What if we uplifted them before God . . . what would happen?
I wonder if we prayed for the President’s daughters, Malia Ann and Sasha, by name, if hearts would be changed.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
I wonder if Malia and Sasha came to know Jesus, if their parents would too. Would little children lead them?
Imagine if we especially remembered these girls on their birthdays, taking a day to really pray for these girls. Malia Ann was born on July 4, 1998 and Sasha born on June 10, 2001. Some of us moms can relate to what age they are by our own children. What do girls their ages like? I have daughters very close to these girls ages.
I wonder the same about Michelle Obama. If we prayed for her by name. I wonder what her fears are…her longings…her mother’s heart wishes. I wonder if we really looked to know her as a neighbor, if we’d care more for her, her heart, her relationship with Jesus.
I wonder if a group of people really prayed…paused when we saw the negatives of our President and whispered a prayer, if our nation could begin it’s healing.
If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
I wonder if we thought of Jesus pursuing them as He is, if we would also pursue on their behalf before God, for those that could plant the seeds of Jesus in their lives.
I wonder what difference if will make if I pray more very specifically for them. It’s something on my heart . . . to pray more for them.
