Five Minute Friday: Grace

Start . . .

onight, my heart is heavy  ~  tears spilling.
Someone I love dearly is quite ill, and I so need to see this loved one,
to be able to reach out and care,
to give
to receive

And I am praying for extra grace in so many ways.
Grace  for missed years before reconciliation.
Grace for unmet expectations that won’t matter anymore.
Grace for the unknown, doubts and what if.
Grace for past heartaches, disappointments, failures, rejections.
Grace for continued healing of these, to be covered up for each other, like Jesus has already done.
Grace for strength, healing and wisdom.
Grace for others we love to not misinterpret healing.
Grace to share joy, laughter, and hugs . . . even tears, together.
Grace for God to restore to us the years that the locust has eaten
Grace to remember, God cares . . .

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

. . . Finish

  1. May God’s grace abound in you precious one. May He fill you up so that your cup overflows. I am so sorry for the loved one who is ill. God can heal, He can restore and He can bless you and your loved one. Praying…

  2. Loni,
I sure know what it is like to have a fractured relationship. I pray that you will be able to reconcile and experience and extend grace here on earth. We do have the hope of heaven where there will be no more sin and separation, but these things do still sting before that sweet time. Thank you for sharing this. It truly blessed me to think about how important it is to make the most of our opportunities while we can. Those tears are not cried alone. He sees each one and loves you through this.
