Start . . .
he first thing I think of with this word is being together with loved ones in heaven.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
Sometimes, I just really can’t wait. How about you? To see Jesus and be together with Him, for, forever! We can’t even begin to comprehend what it will be like. To hear His voice, to touch Him! I think of how we can get excited to see a “famous” person here on earth – but God!?!?! WOW!
Here on earth there’s conflicts in our homes, in our world; there’s heartache, and death (though as Believers, we do have the hope to know it’s a temporary separation); there’s stresses, bills, sick children; there’s tornadoes, hurricanes and for some of who are not too fond of it . . . snow. (Maybe in heaven there will be snow and we won’t be cold? And we won’t have to shovel it!) I believe we will still have jobs in heaven, but it will not seem like work. It will be all for Jesus.
We will be together with our loved ones, forever.
And then, I think of the ones we will be together with that are Believers, that we may have had conflicts with, and those conflicts will be erased. We will love with no bitterness or holding grudges. And we will feel loved – no self-consciousness of what people with think of us. I think sometimes of friends I’ve made through the years on the internet, most of them whom I will no meet until heaven!
Won’t it be amazing, to be together?
