STORY
Start . . .
“So,
why do you write? Why do you blog?” I’ve been asked many times. I have this written on my about me page, following quote:
“But I talk about my life anyway because if, on the one hand, hardly anything could be less important, on the other hand, hardly anything could be more important. My story is important not because it is mine, God knows, but because if I tell it anything like right, the chances are you will recognize that in many ways it is also yours. Maybe nothing is more important than that we keep track, you and I, of these stories of who we are and where we have come from and the people we have met along the way because it is precisely through these stories in all their particularity…that God makes Himself known to each of us most powerfully and personally. If this is true, it means that to lose track of our stories is to be profoundly impoverished not only humanly but also spiritually.”

Telling Secrets: A Memoir
So, little by little, as things pierce my heart, God takes another layer off to reveal a little more of me – where I have gone, where I am, where I am going, what hurts, what brings joy and awe and all through it, how God redeems, calms, and takes away more brokenness, rejection, and my story is really HIS story. His story continues from the pages of His word – while so many of us are that woman at the well or the prodigal son or daughter. He’s welcoming us back always, forgiving and giving us a new renewed life . . . telling us to go forward, to spread His Word, His truth, and so this little dot com on the internet, He allows me to find a few to touch hearts with – to share our stories together.
