Finding Foreclosed Homes

S

everal of our kids are looking for a house to buy.  We have been told that for every house on the market in the area are five buyers.  Our daughter and her husband have found a couple of houses they were interested in and they sold before they could put an offer in.  They are continually checking online for houses and their Realtor sends them new listings.  Tonight I was looking online at the house they are going to be looking at tomorrow and then wandering around looking at other houses and came across Free Foreclosures listings.  We know several people who have gotten steals with buying a foreclosed home.  Yes, some foreclosed homes need a lot of work, but it may just be intense cleaning and painting that updates the house quickly for a fraction of the cost.

For our kids, it’s been a lot of work looking around for a house, yet when I think back to when my husband and I first bought a home, we did not have Real Estate Owned Foreclosures listed on the internet to quickly access.  We had to go to the Realtor’s office and get listings and then drive around.  We could not get peeks into the house like we can today with their listings that many times shows pictures of each room.  It’s quite amazing how much of a preview we can have of homes before even setting a foot into it!  It can quickly eliminate some and put others on the top of the list to see.

It’s definitely worth checking into the possibilities of  Free REO foreclosures.  The next house found, may become home.
