Sometimes you do need an attorney

friend just told me how she fell down steps at a hotel. She was going in and out of the area that was closest to her hotel room, and the back of the hotel area was not heated well and so the floors were not drying quickly like at the main entrance.  She broke her ankle, requiring her to have surgery with a metal plate put in.  This happened several months ago and she is still in a big boot cast.  She has to be in it for some time yet, and by autumn she may have to have another surgery to remove the plate.  It’s been a long ordeal for her.

She told me she is not the suing type, and is thankful the hotel is taking care of all her bills. But she has had to have a lot of time off from work, along with her husband who has had to take her to and from appointments because she cannot drive with the big cast on.  It’s hurt them financially.  They may need to seek out an Injury Lawyer San Diego to sort things out and hopefully come to a quick, out-of-court settlement.

She feels the way the hotel has been, it will go smoothly yet needs the counsel of what to make sure is taken cared of for now and the future.  She said she certainly does not want to get rich, but compensated for what she is losing and hopefully the hotel will take more precautions with keeping floors and stairs dry.  A personal injury attorney with experience will be able to give her the advice she needs to move forward and not worry about her financial losses.
