Five Minute Friday: ENOUGH

the sweet taste of rain after a drought

start . . .

I have had enough drama in the last few months . . .

God wants to fill it with peace and HE is enough.

My time with God is not enough.

Yet, God is  enough.

There’s not enough hours in the day to get it all done.

Darkness comes, eyelids fall, and God says, enoughpeace, be still.

Some days I’ve had enough tattling, fighting, and crabby children.

Other days I can’t get enough kisses and love-ins from children.

Some days my children have had enough of their crabby mama.

Other days they will say the day wasn’t long enough and want one more page read, one more snack and one more hug from mama.

Some days it seems like we do not have enough, especially when the well does not work and we get no water for a week, the van drinks as much steering fluid as gas and we get more calls about bills than from friends.

Most days I am in awe of how God supplied more than enough especially with a dozen kids that love Him, a home with numerous bedrooms, food on the pantry shelves, and fans keeping us cooler even in 90 degree weather . . . and water that was enough – rain from the heavens that we rejoiced in and a well that did not go dry.

Yes, God is more than enough.

finish . . .

  1. Oh, I loved this, Loni! How you showed He is enough for every enough we come up with.
And praise the Lord for rain….Praise God!
    Enjoy your weekend, friend.
All for Him with hugs to you,

  2. Hi Loni, this is the first time I’m stopping by and I am so happy I did. How encouraging. Being reminded that God is enough is encouraging. Receiving that reminder from a wife and mom of 12 who not only talks the talk but really walks the walk with grace is simply powerful.

Yes, I see the face of our Savior in your writing. Be blessed today and always!
