Public Transportation Changes

If public transportation were available in your neighborhood,
would you use it?

f we had  scheduled public transportation in our area,  yes, I would use it.  We can call for public transportation, but it can really vary as to when they will pick up and so if we have to get somewhere on time, it’s not necessarily possible and we never know how long we’d be on the bus to get to our destination.

When my husband and I were first married and only had one car and lived in a larger city, I did  take the public bus to and from work.  After we had our first baby my husband would meet me at work when it was about time for me to go home, drop the baby off and he’d go on to work, and I’d take the baby home on the bus with me!  Seems so long ago now . . . actually – nearly 25 years ago, as my oldest’s birthday is in just over a week.  Hard to believe!  I cannot imagine my own grown kids doing this!

I wonder too if the public transportation system is as safe as it was 25 years ago.  I cannot imagine my daughters riding on it alone.
