ur children have been learning some about Edmonton, Alberta. Edmonton is the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta and it is the province’s second-largest city. It is located on the North Saskatchewan River. Edmonton was home North America’s largest mall from 1981 to 2004. It also has the largest living history museum called Fort Edmonton Park. Since it is the sixth-largest metropolitan area in Canada, I would imagine if you were going to visit there, you’d want to make sure you have a place to stay at, and possibly look up houses for rent in Edmonton.
Those residing in Edmonton are referred to as Edmontonians. Edmonton is known for it’s cultural, governmental and educational center and also as The Festival City” for it’s year around word-class festivals, including The Works Art & Design Festival, Edmonton International Street Performer’s Festival, Capital EX (formerly Klondike Days), Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farm Fair; The Edmonton International Fringe Festival, Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Edmonton Heritage Festival, Free Will Shakespeare Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, The Whyte Avenue Art Walk, Edmonton International Film Festival, etc.
So have any of my readers been there? Is there a particular festival you like to go to? I’d love to hear!
