In ‘Other’ Words Information

What is “IOW” all about?

“In Other Words” was developed for writers to share what God was teaching them around quotes chosen each week. The chosen quote is at the discretion of that week’s hostess. Each blog writer holds the responsibility for her/his own words regarding that quote. Readers may find that some weeks the quote is directly from Scripture while other weeks the thought may be more abstract. By visiting that week’s hostess you will be able to get a sense of why the quote was chosen. We respectfully ask that you remember that everything in this meme, both quotes and responses, are opinions are not inerrant. As with anything you read, Christian or non-Christian, you must use discernment regarding how it aligns with Scripture and how God would apply it in your life.

In “Other” Words originated with CWO – Christian Women Online. The original purpose and beliefs, and Statement of Faith, remain the same: to unite women of faith, regardless of our differing ages, our roles as women, or the signs that mark our church doors.

One of the best ways to do this is to encourage each other in faith, by our spoken and written words. In “other” words, we think it’s time that we heard from you.

In order to do that, each Friday I will post the host’s quote of choice on my main page (Writing Canvas) along with the link to the host’s page  in hopes that it will inspire you to jot down your thoughts. On the Tuesday following, a post written by the host will be posted on her blog along with links to the other Christian women online who are joining in with a post on their blog.  Blog entries can range from inspirational to light and humorous, however the women whose links that we post must meet with our guidelines as outlined below. *  You are welcome to write about the quote on your blog and then leave a link on the host’s blog page back to your post.

Our quotes will range from the divine to the quirky–what you do with them is up to you.

* Guidelines – This is open to Christian women bloggers who are in agreement with the original statment of faith provided by Christian Women Online.  We will not accept links to posts that are of a controversial nature or that open up doors to debate. Nor will we accept links to blogs that lean toward controversy, slander or debate in general.

At this time we do have a full schedule of hostesses, and will post publicly or ask regular participators to host when we are in need of another hostess.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions or concerns and I will get back to you.
